Happy International Cat Day! If you want to do something nice for them . . . consider holding more of your farts in. (???) A poll asked 2,000 cat and dog owners to name the top things that can freak their pet out, or cause anxiety. And LOUD FARTS made the Top 10 . . .
1. Fireworks. 47% say their pet finds them terrifying. (I would have guessed closer to 97%)
2. Going to the vet, 41%. (Again, seems low.)
3. The vacuum cleaner, 37%.
4. New people they’ve never met, 34%.
5. Sudden movements, 32%.
6. Balloons popping, 25%.
7. A loud fart, 19%.
8. Getting too close to kiss or cuddle them, 12%.
9. The sound of a tea kettle whistling, 9%. (The poll was done in England.)
10. Opening the fridge. 7% say it makes their pet jump.
