The 2020 Pawscars Awards Gala

For several years, Wenatchee Valley Humane Society has hosted an annual auction, the shelter’s largest fundraiser of the year, to support the over 5,000 animals the shelter cares for annually. It’s been a wonderful event and lots of fun for attendees, staff and volunteers. But, it’s a new decade. And, we felt like this was a great time to do something a little different.

On February, 15, 2020, we invite you to be the star you are and join us on the red carpet with a Oscar-themed event, aptly named:THE PAWSCARS!

This star-studded awards gala features a no-host champagne cocktail hour (or whatever tickles your fancy), magnificent silent action, raffle items, dinner, and, of course, awards presented by a very entertaining Master of Ceremonies!

Awards you say? YES! This year’s event is celebrating pets in the community, while helping the homeless animals. Nominate your furry (or not so furry) family member by submitting a photo for one (or more) of seven categories, including:
– Most Dramatic
– Best Action Sequence
– Best Comedic Performance
– Most Promising Newcomer
– Best Hair
– Best Costume
– People’s Choice**

Sponsors of each award will choose three finalists for their sponsored category. Event attendees will have the final vote LIVE on awards night, where we will announce winners! (**People’s Choice voting is conducted online, by the public, through noon on February 14th. Votes are $1 donation per vote, so vote early and vote often!)
